I like it (lessons) because you're in a class with only yourself in it. Marie-Claire explains everything very well and makes it fun. She does competitions, word searches and loads more! She recommends good books and is very fair. If you finish a song you get a sticker too! P.S. Her baking is great. (Recorder pupil, aged 11)

Top Tips for Performance

Gold Curtains

These are some of my top tips to help you perform at your best whenever the opportunity arises.

Preparation

  • Decide which piece(s) you are going to play well in advance.
  • Choose pieces that you enjoy and that are well within your capabilities.
  • Practise as much as you can.  The more you practise, the more confident you will feel on the day and the more you will enjoy the performance.  Remember to practise carefully and deliberately.
